You know how much we love wine & food festivals in the Carolinas. But no one said anything about a Grapes and Hops Festival! Throughout the month of October, Bald Head Island will be celebrating fine wine and craft beer at the first Bald Head Island Grapes & Hops Festival with tastings, seminars, dining events and parties at various locations around the island.
Here are some of the planned festivities (there are tons more so check out the full schedule here):
*Wine Seminar - Oct 5 at 6pm - Join the Maritime Market as they sponsor a Bordeaux wine seminar
*Wine Dinner - October 11 at 6pm at the Shoals Club
*Tailgate Party - October 13 from noon-3pm - Enjoy a beer (or three) at the Bald Head Real Estate Sales Office
*Wine Tasting and Wines with Heart Benefit Sale - October 20 - Mojo's on the Harbour will host a wine tasting and benefit sale with proceeds going to charity.
*Brewers Dinner - October 26 at 6pm - Featuring NC breweries and cooking with beer class
*Octoberfest - October 27 from 4-7:30pm - a traditional Octoberfest celebration
*Ghosts & Goblins Halloween Party - October 27 at 6pm - all your Halloween favorites at the Shoals Club
*Howl at the Moon - October 31 - Join the folks from Maritime Market for a full moon party on the beach
*Wine and beer specials around the island all month long
And to sweeten the deal, Bald Head Island is offering a Grapes and Hops rental special all month long. Purchase a minimum of two nights in one of their participating island homes and get an additional night free. Plus, there will be a bottle of North Carolina wine and a six pack of craft beer waiting for you when you arrive.
Now that's what we call a Festival!
