
As self-professed foodies, our attention turns to grilling this time of year. And our grill mentor over the years has been none other than America's "master griller", Steven Raichlen. His cookbooks have won numerous James Beard and IACP awards and his latest book, Planet Barbecue!, was a New York Times bestseller. His articles appear regularly in our favorite magazines including Food & Wine and Bon Appetit and this Barbecue University is on our bucket list. So we were thrilled when we saw that his grill majesty would be coming to North Carolina later this month.
On Wednesday, July 25th, Raichlen will participate in a cooking demonstration and rib tasting on The Garden Terrace at Fearrington Village near Chapel Hill, North Carolina. He'll discuss his bone-by-bone guide to choosing, buying and handling ribs, give his 8 essential techniques for prepping and cooking ribs, and demonstrate his 6 great methods of making fires, rubbing, saucing, mopping, resting, and (thankfully) serving!
