Best Little Fruit Farm in the Upcountry

Through our travels in the Carolinas, we've visited dozens of farmers markets and fruit stands. But one of them really stands out in our minds as having the most stunning and sweetest fruits in the land. Perdeaux's Fruit Farm in Travelers Rest, South Carolina (formerly known as Perdue's Mountain Fruit Farm...not exactly sure when or why they Francophiled the name) sells 14 types of fruit in over 110 varieties including  apples, blackberries, raspberries, pears, peaches (God's gift to summer), asian pears, figs, persimmons, muscadines, prunes, plums, apricots and nectarines.

Located on historic Highway 11 at the intersection of Tigerville Road, Perdeaux's Fruit Farm is now open five days a week, Wednesday through Sunday. And, in addition to their fabulous fruit, they also make their own preserves right at the farm, sell honey from their bees, make fresh apple butter, applesauce and apple cider, boil up some of the best green peanuts, and sell local vegetables.

Dick and his great (and knowledgeable) staff make a stop at Perdeaux Fruit Farm a fun and.....er, fruitful experience.
