Okay all you fans of North Carolina travel. Now's your turn to be heard!
Budget Travel Magazine is looking for America's Coolest Small Towns and it's come down to the wire with Beaufort, North Carolina neck and neck against Hammondsport, NY. Now, we're sure that Hammondsport is a lovely town and has plenty to offer. But Beaufort, the crown jewel in North Carolina's Crystal Coast, combines small town charm with ocean views, killer water sports, loads of maritime and antebellum history, quaint accommodations, and tasty seafood and Southern culinary treats. And that doesn't even begin to mention the incredibly temperate year-round weather. Beaufort should beat out any place in New York on that alone!
