Winston-Salem to Host 2014 USA Masters

Winston-Salem was selected to host the 2014 USA Masters Outdoor Track & Field Championships July 15-20, 2014. The prestigious event will bring over 2,000 athletes, coaches and support staff to Winston-Salem and will help to generate an increased awareness and amateur sporting excitement to the area.

This will be the first time that Winston-Salem has hosted this premier athletic meet. The event features athletes ranging in age from 30-95+ in a display of speed, strength, and endurance. Track events will range from 100 meters to 10,000 meters, while field events will include shot put, javelin, discus, and others.

65th Annual Spring Festival of Houses and Gardens in Charleston

Historic Charleston Foundation, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to preserve and protect the integrity of Charleston's architectural, historical and cultural heritage, has announced the dates of their 65th Annual Spring Festival of Houses and Gardens from March 22 through April 21, 2012.

Attendees will have the opportunity to peek into nearly 150 of Charleston's grandest private houses and gardens during the peak of the spring bloom. Events include daily self-guided house and garden tours in historic properties throughout the city's Old & Historic district, musical concerts from bluegrass to instrumental music, entertaining and educational luncheon lectures, and wine tastings and food pairings giving attendees insight into Charleston's burgeoning culinary arts scene.

Tickets on Sale for 2012 Family Circle Cup

Make plans to attend the 2012 Family Circle Cup March 31 – April 8 at the Family Circle Tennis Center in Charleston, South Carolina.  Marking the tournament’s 40^th year in the Best Tennis Town in America, tickets for the 2012 Family Circle Cup are on-sale and, this year, there’s an extra incentive to buy your tickets early. 

If you purchase tickets to the tournament before January 2, 2012, you will be entered to win the “VIP for a Day” Sweepstakes featuring weekly prizes and the Grand Prize VIP Experience of a behind-the-scenes tour including the tournament’s Clubhouse, Media Center, Stadium, ESPN2 Production Trailers, as well as lunch in the player dining area, VIP gift bag including an autographed t-shirt, upgrade for two to Box Seats for a day, pre-match coin-toss, photo opportunity with players prior to a Family Circle Stadium match, valet parking and Terrace Club access.
